Our judge, Jane Rainbow, commented: “For a ten year old this is sophisticated. It is also well written, quirky and most definitely entertaining. The details feel fresh, as does the witch’s assistant storyline that leads Kat to Medea. The old goat to young goat spell was unexpected at the end. Over all, I really felt this should be/could be a longer story. Full marks for imagination.”
