2014 Questions to Consider Towards Growth and Change

This new year brings with it a lot of promise for growth and real change. I wanted to share these ten questions from the lovely Debbie Ford, to help you clarify your intentions and thought processes when you are making choices in the months to come. The last few years have been intense for many of us, and being clear in your intention and desire yields greater results and leads to more joy!  We could always use more of that!

Ten Essential Questions to Guide you to an Extraordinary Life

Will this choice propel me toward an inspiring future or will it keep me stuck in the past?

Will this choice bring me long-term fulfillment or will it bring me short-term gratification?

Am I standing in my power or am I trying to please another?

Am I looking for what’s right or am I looking for what’s wrong?

Will this choice add to my life-force or will it rob me of my energy?

Will I use this situation as a catalyst to grow and evolve or will I use it to beat myself up?

Does this choice empower me or does it dis-empower me?

Is this an act of self-love or is it an act of self-sabotage?

Is this an act of faith or an act of fear?

Am I choosing from my divinity or am I choosing from my humanity?

Awakening the dream

Apologies for taking such a long break between posts over the summer, and with school beginning again!

I came across this lovely dreamtime 12 step blog via Paulo Coelho, the 12 steps come from Hawaiin therapist Alan Cohen. After a rather inspiring weekend spent in Edinburgh with the International Federation of Chiropractic Orgs (IFCO), it’s reminded me to spend a little more time in that dream space, and the greatness and depth of joy there is in that space.

That old chestnut……….

http://mothering.com/all-things-mothering/baby-2/breastfeeding/why-is-the-medical-profession-so-uneducationed-about-the-benefits-of-extended-breastfeeding

I just wanted to share this lovely and intelligent response from Chaley Scott regarding the article in the Daily Mail today ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2146870/Breastfeed-year-old-Thats-just-selfish-wrong.html) written by a medical doctor (can you believe it?) on extended breastfeeding.

I have a lot more to say about breastfeeding, but that is for another time!  Personally, I fed my first sweet babe until 20 months and then gave in to the pressure to stop.  At present I am still breastfeeding my second lovely babe and she will be three in September!

Chaley Scott notes that she finds it “scary that our medical profession are so ill-informed” (specifically regarding breastfeeding). I happen to agree, and on far more than just breastfeeding issues! (don’t even get me started on nutrition!)

Have a read and let me know what you think.
